This two-part practical workshop is the fourth in a series of Athlete Talent Development Workshops that Speedworks Charity will be hosting. The charity’s Head Coach, Marvin Rowe, will be delivering the technical sessions supported by a number of the charity’s current athletes, staff and interns.
This workshop is a fantastic and unique opportunity for aspiring athletes, of all ages, to access a level of expertise that is normally inaccessible and unaffordable.
During session one of the workshop, athletes will learn about the fundamentals of acceleration, in a practical and enjoyable setting, including:
- How to transfer Strength into Power into Technique
- Specific Warm-up Drills, Pre-activation and Technical Acceleration
- A chance to see your results compared with similar developing athletes and even elite athletes
- Live demonstrations and personal feedback
During part two of the workshop, athletes will learn about the essentials of strength and conditioning for track & field athletics, including specific exercises for:
- Hamstring development
- Ankle stability
- Trunk work
If you’re not sure, just imagine what a difference it could make to your performance if you walked away with a better understanding of full flight running, acceleration, speed and power, and how you could then apply that to the spectrum of strength, plyometrics and technical drills. How would this help you fulfil your potential as an athlete?
This workshop is expected to be very popular and will sell out fast and there are limited places available. If you would like any more information then please email email@example.com, otherwise please register and sign up below.
Prices have been kept low to make this workshop as accessible as possible and all proceeds will go to Speedworks Charity. Further details about Speedworks Charity can be found on our website at http://speedworks.training/charity/
Please note: - Any athletes attending may also be accompanied by their coach (at no extra cost). The coach must be there only to observe, as questions from athletes’ coaches will not be facilitated during this workshop. ONLY coaches with an athlete attending the practical workshop may observe.
