Speedworks Academy is a non-for profit charity organisation that supports local developing athletes make the transition into elite performance. Speedworks aim is to bridge the gap from junior talent to a senior performance by supporting each individual athlete’s needs by having an all-encompassing support team around them. The support team incorporate a dynamic assessment process, using movement screening to make clear decisions in the field. These decisions may include coach intervention, strength and conditioning, performance therapy, supportive equipment or professional referral. The development of athleticism, technical mastery, strength and conditioning, mental toughness, self efficacy and lifestyle skills are the corner stones of future success in the sport as well as in life. The program aims to develop the person as well as the athlete. When this happens, the lessons can last a lifetime. This is our major goal and to do this we need a multi disciplinary team to do so.
