Specialised performance sessions for all young sportspeople


Speedworks Academy is a non-for profit charitable organisation that supports local developing athletes by giving them the opportunity to fulfil their potential through elite coaching, and mentoring. The goals of the charity are to encourage more individuals to get into sport and have access to high performance coaching and for those that are already immersed in sport to bridge the gap from junior talent to senior performance. The development of athleticism, technical mastery, strength & conditioning, mental toughness, self-efficacy and lifestyle skills are the cornerstones of future success in sport as well as in day to day life. The academy aims to develop the person as well as the athlete. When this happens, the lessons can last a lifetime. We would like to support and encourage all aspiring individuals to be the best that they can be through our school visits and speed school training camps. As a team we have accumulated numerous years of experience in different walks of life, from introducing young children to the foundations of running technique, fine tuning elite sprinters, footballers, rugby players, and returning injury prone athletes to stardom. Speed School

Speed School offers specialised speed performance sessions suitable for all sports and abilities, where speed and repeated speed are one of the key factors for success. Sessions are focussed around improving technical and physical skills for acceleration, max velocity and change of direction. These sessions are delivered by our elite coaches and they will look at running mechanics and efficiency of running and the sessions will include technical drills and skills to create technical change. Sessions are grouped specifically for age groups of 6-11yrs and 12-15 year olds.


Tuesday evenings 1700-1800 hrs (excluding half terms)
