Speedworks aim is to bridge the gap from junior talent to a senior performance by supporting each individual athlete’s needs by having an all-encompassing support team around them. Changing lives for a brighter future

Please join us on our mission to support and encourage the high-performance ambitions of young athletes from all walks of life, supporting as many people as possible by connecting the dots and turning their dreams into a reality.

These high-performance ambitions are not only nurtured to champion a future in elite sports but to inspire a commitment to excellence in every facet of their lives. By focusing on their mental and physical abilities, we provide them with the necessary tools for success.

Through sponsorships, mentorship, and medical support, we help to bridge the socio-economic gap and give everyone a fair opportunity to achieve their full potential.

This life-changing programme has helped numerous athletes to compete at the highest level. To date, we have inspired over 20 Olympians and Paralympians, with over 10 athletes currently competing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. In addition, we have also led the pathways of elite footballers, rugby players, coaches, and medical staff members.

With your help, we can inspire and mould the next generation of elite sportsmen and sportswomen.

Our mission

Our mission

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

— Michael Jordan

We understand the mental and physical fortitude required to compete at the top level, as well as the financial limitations that can obstruct the pathway to success...

Youth training is not just about playing a sport; but building character, instilling discipline, and fostering a passion for a healthy and active lifestyle.

At Speedworks Academy, we believe that each young athlete is a unique individual with incredible potential waiting to be realised. Our mission is to provide them with the guidance, support, and expertise they need to unlock their hidden talents and rise to new heights. Speedworks have vast experience of developing youth talent and bridging the gap between development and elite performance.

In building solid, early-learning foundations through the mentorship of our experienced coaches, our learners gain first-hand experience in the commitment required to fulfil their potential and the determination required to overcome failure and setbacks.

Through group sessions, one-to-one’s and virtual coaching programmes, our clients can progress, whilst receiving the mentorship, necessary to maximise their chances of success.

What we offer

What we offer

We support youth development in several ways:

Youth Training

We have small group sessions based at Loughborough University, offering sessions in both term time and during the holidays to support and nurture our youth athletes. Please see the link here for more information.

  • Junior Speed Academy
  • Speed School

School visits

We offer a complimentary session to local schools in the Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Notts areas. We want to show schools how to incorporate speed and movement into their PE lessons or after school clubs and give access to those pupils have may not be involved in sport and encourage them to participate and be active in a fun way.

  • School Visits Calendar

Grassroots Team/Club Sessions

We support local grassroots teams by providing elite coaching through subsidised training fees. We cover speed for football, rugby, tennis and cricket and any team sport that includes speed or repeated speed. The goal is to lead on a player session and educate and support the existing coaches to be able to be independent and confident to coach speed and speed oriented drills within their session.
